Marche-Style Frappe

Crispy fried pastries dusted with sugar, traditionally prepared for Carnival.

Ingredients

- 300 g flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp anise liqueur or white wine
- 1 tbsp butter
- Grated lemon zest
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar

Preparation

Mix all ingredients to form a firm dough. Roll out thin and cut into strips or shapes. Fry in hot oil until golden and crispy. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
