A golden-colored Christmas sweet made with dried fruits, nuts, and honey, originating from Roman influence.

Ingredients

- Flour
- Honey
- Walnuts
- Almonds
- Raisins
- Candied fruit
- Saffron or turmeric (for color)

Preparation

Mix all ingredients into a sticky dough. Shape into small domes and bake. Optionally, brush with a saffron mixture to give a yellow finish. Let cool and store wrapped.
